The politician flew to Kiev on a flight from Warsaw, where he was deported in February 2018 in connection with the deprivation of citizenship by the former president of the country, Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier, Saakashvili promised to fight for Ukraine to become the leading country in Europe.
It also became known that his party, the Movement of New Forces, intends to participate in elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
