They noted that Tbilisi expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and condemned the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces after the outbreak of the conflict.

“Against this background, a number of decisions of the Ukrainian authorities, which blatantly contradict the traditional friendship established between the two countries and peoples, cause regret and deep concern,” the document says.

The Georgian Cabinet of Ministers accused Kyiv of recalling the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia on March 1, 2022, under the pretext of not imposing sanctions and refusing to send volunteers to Ukraine.

Tbilisi is also dissatisfied with Kyiv’s biased view of the health of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is in prison, and so on.

In January, the speaker of the Georgian parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, demanded an apology from Vladimir Zelensky and Moldovan President Maia Sandu for lying about Saakashvili being tortured in prison.
