New evidence for a party donation affair with the AfD: According to research of Bild am Sonntag, the group "The Wing" around the Thuringian AfD boss Björn Höcke collect money for their work - but past the AFD committees. This is apparent from internal documents. Thus Höcke called in a Christmas mail of the wing to donations to the external association "Conservative!" to fund 'wing' events.
According to a confidential protocol, the mail on the federal board of the AfD is already causing trouble. The "wing" is only allowed to collect money in consultation with the party's treasurers. The case could therefore cause the parent party significant problems: First, the AfD escapes by donating to an external club money, on the other club income could be considered illegal party donation, as the money could be financed events of the party. A request of Bild am Sonntag left the party unanswered.
Already the AfD is in the middle of a party donation affair because of dubious payments in the amount of 130. 000 euros from Switzerland. In an Emnid survey, 71 percent of respondents find a stronger AFD observation correct, 18 percent do not.
