After a success at the box office, soon a success on television?

"Good Night, and Good Luck", the second film by American actor George Clooney, released in 2005, will be adapted into a series by the AMC channel.

Buoyed by box office success and critical success, he had the right to six Oscar nominations.

However, it will not be the American actor who will direct the series, unlike the film.

He's not the one working on writing the current six episodes either.

The showrunner of "Better Call Saul" in charge of the project

On the other hand, the actor will take the cap of producer.

And to supervise this project, he called on what is called a showrunner, a person responsible for directing the project, in particular the part in charge of the screenwriters.

For this role, George Clooney chose Jonathan Glatzer, who notably worked on the excellent series “Succession” as well as on “Better Call Saul”.

The latter said he was a fan of the film and promises not to copy and paste.

The film told the story of the CBS newscaster and his producer who helped end the career of Senator Joseph McCarthy and his anti-Communist witch hunt in the 1950s.

The series will follow a cameraman from the show, torn between ambition and admiration for the presenter of the newspaper.
