Toward the recovery of the tourism industry, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to subsidize 5,000 yen per night for travel to the city of Tokyo in line with the resumption of the national "Go To Travel".

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided to strengthen measures to support economic activities as the infection situation of the new coronavirus improves significantly, and will submit a supplementary budget plan that includes the necessary projects for the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly starting next week on the 30th.

Of these, for the recovery of the tourism industry, we have decided to subsidize 5,000 yen per night for travelers to Tokyo and 2,500 yen per day trip.

The policy is to implement it in line with the resumption of "Go To Travel," a measure to stimulate tourism demand in the country, and the cost of 600,000 nights will be included in the supplementary budget.

In addition, the supplementary budget will include the cost of measures to prepare for the sixth wave, such as the implementation of the third vaccination at a large-scale venue in Tokyo and the expansion of accommodation facilities, and will be in full swing for economic and social activities. I would like to balance the resumption of the disease with the preparation for the re-spread of the infection.
