The Japan Travel Agents Association releases a report on a series of frauds such as corona outsourcing projects. At least 10 member companies have been confirmed to have committed fraud, including fraudulent receipt of benefits.

The reasons for the fraud include a culture that is excessively focused on profit, an attitude that disregards compliance, and a lack of awareness and knowledge about businesses different from the travel industry. The report was compiled by a committee made up of lawyers and others, and it found that during the period of the spread of the new coronavirus, overcharging was done.
