North Korea cancels World Cup qualifier against Japan. FIFA Disciplinary Committee has informed us of its decision to classify the game as a 3-0 defeat for North Korea.
The Japanese won the first leg 1-0. Ao Tanaka from the second division club Fortuna Düsseldorf scored the decisive goal after an assist from Freiburg's Ritsu Dōan. The game had already caused a stir in advance; Japan had warned its fans against traveling to the game.
