Mie Prefecture announced that a woman in her 70s who was being treated at a hospital died on the 20th after being infected with the new coronavirus.
Six of the people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture died.
In addition, Mie Prefecture announced that it has been newly confirmed that four men and women in their 30s and 50s are infected.
A total of 475 people have been confirmed infected in the prefecture.
