A number of measles cases are occurring, likely due to people returning from overseas or coming into the country for sightseeing. Measles, also known as measles, is an infectious disease caused by a virus that is extremely contagious.

The virus has spread worldwide, and more than 700 people have been reported to have been infected in Japan. Because measles is highly contagious, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare recommends that if you have symptoms that suggest measles, such as fever, cough, red eyes, or rash, consult a medical institution.
