Tanker capsized off the coast of Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, one crew member found, condition unknown. On the 20th, a Korean-registered chemical tanker with 11 people on board capsized, resulting in the deaths of 8 people.
By the night of the 19th, 9 people had been rescued near the scene, and 8 of them were confirmed dead. Search operations continued through the night, and at around 8:20 a.m. on the 21st, an additional crew member was found inside the capsized ship.
