Shiga Prefecture announced on the 9th that 8 new people were confirmed infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture. A total of 291 people were confirmed infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced the death of a woman in her 80s who had been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. Two people died in Shiga Prefecture.
