  Chen Tao, chief forecaster of the Central Meteorological Observatory, said that the process started in the Sichuan Basin and affected Jianghan, Huanghuai, Jianghuai and northern Jiangnan from west to east and north to south. Among them, the period of the strongest rainfall occurs on the 27th to the 28th. The convective weather in this process was mainly short-term heavy precipitation, and some areas were accompanied by strong convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds and hail.

  He said that the rainfall process affected a wide area, long rainfall period, and heavy local rainfall. On the 27th, it mainly affected areas in Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Hubei, and Henan; on the 28th, precipitation in Anhui, Jiangsu and other areas will increase significantly. After 29 days, the main rain belt will gradually press southward to the northern part of Jiangnan, and the rainfall intensity will weaken.

  Judging from the cumulative amount of the process, most areas of the Sichuan Basin, Jianghan, Huanghuai, Jianghuai and Guizhou have heavy rains; eastern Sichuan, Chongqing, northern Guizhou, eastern Hubei and southwest, southern Henan, northern Anhui, Jiangsu There are heavy rainstorms in parts of the central and other places, and local heavy rainstorms.

  Chen Tao said that Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and other places have heavy night rainfall intensity. From the 27th to the 28th, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, and Jiangsu are concentrated in rainfall. Special attention should be paid to prevent the risk of concentrated heavy precipitation in the above-mentioned areas on urban waterlogging, waterlogging, small and medium rivers, mountain torrents, and geological disasters.

  Chen Tao also said that from July 2 onwards, there was still a strong precipitation process from the Sichuan Basin to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The rainfall intensity in the Jianghan and Jianghuai areas was relatively large, and there was some overlap with the impact area of ​​this process at the end of June. .
