On the night of Thursday, November 22nd to Friday, November 23rd, a stolen car on Charleston Square in Flers was set on fire at the La Selle-la-Forge roundabout, repeatedly occupied by protesters. An isolated act that is not linked to the mobilization of yellow vests.
This week, the degradation and incivility committed by "thugs" and "people who do not defend the cause of yellow vests" have multiplied in Flers and Saint-Georges-des-Groseillers.
On the evening of Thursday, November 22, protesters released a video on their Facebook group in which they call for calm. "It went really well last Saturday, and this week it was a bit of nothing ," said a protester. It is not by degrading anything that we will advance. "

This Friday, November 23, at the roundabout of Pottery, in Saint-Georges-des-Groseillers, Jacky is disappointed. "I have been there from the beginning, I tried to organize things at La Poterie but I was overwhelmed ," he says. In the evening and in the night, there has been an ugly overflow here. "
He deplores, among other things, the behavior of "young people" who came "to drink" and "who were incorrect with motorists" . "They burned the equivalent of a pallet truck in one night to party," he explains.
Jacky also regrets the use of tires. "There are mechanics who took advantage of the movement to get rid ," he says. We did not want it, some were burnt in front of the road signs that did not resist. Of the four installed on the roundabout, only one is still standing.
Tired, this protester throws in the towel. "I take off my yellow vest ," he breathes. I stop because it's not the spirit of November 17th. In their video, the Yellow Vests are aware of these abandonments generated by overflows. "Many left the movement because there were too many breaks," they say.
State services will complain
Monday, November 19, the prefecture of Orne said in a statement that the Sdis (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) had intervened 21 times since the beginning of the movement, including 15 interventions for deliberate fires of pallets, tires and of waste.
"Road managers deplore the deterioration of the roadway at certain meeting points and the deterioration of traffic signs: complaints will be filed for these facts ," the statement said. Similarly, the state services will file a complaint for the degradation of 10 fixed speed cameras. "
