Science and Technology Daily (Reporter Wang Chun) On February 27, the launch ceremony of the Southeast Asian demonstration flight of COMAC ARJ21 and C919 aircraft was held at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, thus kicking off the Southeast Asian demonstration flight of domestic commercial aircraft. .

  According to arrangements, in the next two weeks, COMAC’s ARJ21 and C919 aircraft will carry out demonstration flights in five countries: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia, mainly to verify the performance of domestic commercial aircraft on airports and routes in five Southeast Asian countries. The adaptability, adaptability of airport ground service equipment, applicability of special flight procedures and economy of route payload demonstrate the good performance of the aircraft and lay the foundation for subsequent development of the Southeast Asian market.

  It is worth mentioning that the ARJ21 and C919 aircraft participating in this demonstration flight are the two aircraft that have just completed the Singapore Air Show flight performance.

Both aircraft will also be on static display during the demonstration flight event.

COMAC will carry out product promotion activities to potential customers.

  Since it was put into commercial operation in June 2016, a total of 127 ARJ21 regional passenger aircraft have been delivered, safely transporting more than 11 million passengers.

Among them, two ARJ21 aircraft operated by Indonesian Air Asia have opened 4 routes based in Jakarta, serving 5 cities and safely carrying more than 100,000 passengers.

  In May 2023, the C919 large passenger aircraft successfully completed its first commercial flight. So far, 4 aircraft have been delivered to the first customer, China Eastern Airlines, and round-trip flights from Shanghai to Beijing and Shanghai to Chengdu have been launched.
