In February 2014, the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei was elevated to a national strategy.

In the past ten years, transportation integration has taken the lead in making breakthroughs, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is accelerating on the track.

As of the end of last year, the operating mileage of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei railways exceeded 11,000 kilometers, and high-speed railways achieved full coverage of prefecture-level cities.

The increasingly dense rail transit network is changing the pace of life and industrial layout of people in this region.

Just after the Spring Festival, Li Jianhe's company in Xiongan became busy. He often caught the early high-speed train and arrived in Xiongan from Beijing in 50 minutes.

Li Jianhe, Executive Chairman of the Xiongan New Area Federation of Science and Technology Innovation Enterprises:

Our company moved from Beijing to Xiongan New Area in April 2017. At the beginning, we drove back and forth, because the road was quite roundabout, so the delay was quite long. Much, it is much more convenient now.

What makes Li Jianhe feel more convenient is the Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway that opened to traffic at the end of 2020. After more than three years of operation, there are 36 trains running between Beijing West and Xiongan Station every day.

It was also the day when the Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway was opened. Han Junjia walked into the cab of the Beijing-Xiongan intercity train.

Han Junjia, an EMU driver at the Beijing Locomotive Depot of the State Railway Beijing Bureau:

I have been driving for 32 years and have 9 driving licenses. From steam locomotives to Fuxing, I have driven a total of 35 types of cars.

After arriving in Jingxiong, I didn’t have a new driver’s license, but everything was brand new, which was very motivating for me.

The motivation in Han Junjia's mind stems from the constant changes in rail transit in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in his eyes.

In the past ten years, rail lines in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region have been continuously densely packed, including the Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway.

The Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway has been extended to Tianjin Binhai Station; the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway has been completed and opened to traffic; the Beijing-Tangshan intercity railway and the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway from Baodi to Beichen have been put into operation; and the Jinxing intercity railway has been put into operation.

The total mileage of high-speed rail in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has increased from 1,284 kilometers in 2013 to 2,624 kilometers. The half-hour and one-hour intercity transportation circles are rapidly advancing to better support the creation of a world-class urban agglomeration in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Han Junjia, an EMU driver at the Beijing Locomotive Depot of the National Railway Beijing Bureau:

When I first drove to Xiongan, it was just a station.

Now, there are more and more connections, such as the Jinxing high-speed railway coming from Tianjin at the end of last year, and the southbound Xiongshang and westbound Xiongxin high-speed railways currently under construction. This will be a new hub. It’s very interesting to think about it. I’m happy, I want to run the high-speed rail for a few more years.

Li Jianhe's company is also growing like the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei rail transit network.

Since landing in Xiongan seven years ago, it has now provided industry landing and resource docking services for hundreds of companies in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, building a bridge for industrial interaction among the three places, and his dream is still growing.

Li Jianhe, Executive Chairman of Xiongan New Area Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Federation:

Ten years ago, I often traveled between Switzerland and Beijing. Seven years ago, I returned to my hometown.

Xiongan is a centralized place to undertake the relocation of Beijing's non-capital functions. In the future, a large number of central enterprises, schools, hospitals, and scientific research institutions will be relocated to Xiongan.

We will provide them with one-stop, nanny-style full-service services to help the national strategy of coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei be successfully realized.

In the past ten years, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation circle has continued to intensify, industrial chains have been deeply integrated, and trade chains have collaborated with each other.

Data shows that Zhongguancun enterprises have set up more than 9,700 branches in Tianjin and Hebei, and the Daxing International Airport Airport Economic Zone has registered more than 5,100 enterprises; the total economic output of the three places has exceeded 10 trillion yuan, and the overall regional strength has reached new heights. steps to inject vigorous impetus into high-quality economic development.
