Cookies from the Dutch manufacturer Banketbakkerij Merba BV

The Dutch company Banketbakkerij Merba BV has recalled various types of biscuits nationwide. The background to the recall is that the packs could contain metal foreign bodies. The affected products were immediately withdrawn from sale, it said in a press release on Tuesday. They were available in almost all federal states.

Affected by the recall are batches with a best before date of December 12, 2024 of “Biscotto Premium Cookies Triple Chocolate 200g,” which are available at Aldi Nord, and “Biscoteria Triple Choc Cookies with whole milk, dark and white chocolate 200g,” which sold at Netto Marken-Discount.

Batches with a best before date of December 13, 2024 of the »Yes! American Style Cookies Chocolate Chips 225g, which are available at REWE, and the COVO Classic Cookies 225g, which are available at Penny, are also affected. The same applies to the “K-Classic American Style Cookies Chocolate 225g” available at Kaufland with a best before date of December 14, 2024.

Customers can return the affected products to the respective supermarkets and receive a refund of the purchase price, even without a receipt.
