  According to statistics, in December 2023, mobile phone shipments in the Chinese market were 28.275 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.5%. Among them, 5G mobile phones were 24.20 million units, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, accounting for 85.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

  For the whole year of 2023, 5G mobile phone shipments will reach 240 million units, a year-on-year increase of 11.9%, accounting for 82.8% of mobile phone shipments during the same period.

  From January to December 2023, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 231 million units, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, accounting for 79.9% of mobile phone shipments during the same period; a total of 406 new models were launched, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, accounting for 79.9% of mobile phone shipments during the same period. 92.1% of the number of new models.

Among them, in December, domestic brand mobile phone shipments were 24.554 million units, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%, accounting for 86.8% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

  Since September, China’s mobile phone market has begun to gradually pick up, and the global market has also shown signs of recovery.

The "Global Mobile Phone Quarterly Tracking Report" released by IDC (International Data Corporation) on the 16th showed that global smartphone shipments in 2023 will decrease by 3.2% year-on-year to 1.17 billion units, which is the lowest full-year shipments in ten years.

But growth in the second half of the year solidified recovery expectations for 2024.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, there was a year-on-year growth of 8.5%, with shipments reaching 326 million units, higher than the previous expected growth of 7.3%.
