The Ministry of the Economy confirmed on Monday that the rate of thelivret A would be maintained at3% and it chose to lower the rate for the most modest account from 6% to 5% for the next six months from 1 February. "With inflation going to fall below 3%, you will have a popular savings account whose interest will be more than two points above inflation," Bruno Le Maire said.
