The ministry confirmed in its Telegram channel that an unscheduled repair of one of the catalytic cracking units began at the Nizhny Novgorod refinery. As a result of the incident, there was a decrease in the production of motor gasoline, but the company has already developed a plan to eliminate the problems as soon as possible.

The participants of the operational headquarters assured that the needs of the domestic market will be met due to a decrease in supplies in the export direction and the reorientation of the available resources of other market participants.

"The production of motor gasoline at Russian enterprises fully meets all the needs of the domestic market, commodity reserves amount to almost 2 million tons, which is more than enough to meet demand," the Ministry of Energy said.

On January 12, an incident occurred at the LUKOIL refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and its operation was temporarily stopped.

The Kommersant newspaper, citing sources, wrote that LUKOIL specialists will seek to repair the failed unit before spring. According to the interlocutors, the reason for the shutdown of the technological unit was the breakdown of foreign equipment.
