With a total length of 1269,7 kilometers, the Wari Railway, from Watang Town, Xingxian County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province in the west, to Rizhao City, Shandong Province in the east, through the three provinces of Shanxi, Henan and Shandong, and Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Kowloon, Beijing-Shanghai and other seven major railway trunk lines and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the Yellow Sea are interconnected, which is an important heavy-haul channel for energy into the sea in China, and is also China's first heavy-haul railway with 30-ton axle load built at one time.
Since its opening at the end of 2014, the Wari Railway has given full play to the advantages of regional location, improved heavy-haul technology, and improved the efficiency of transportation organization.
