Chinanews.com, Shanghai, December 12 (Reporter Zheng Yingying) Entrepreneur Yan Peng, who was born in 24, probably did not expect that it would take only a few months to go from stepping onto the "stage" of the first "Cultural and Creative Shanghai" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference and being photographed by the "Bole" to devoting himself to Shanghai and letting the company settle in Shanghai.

- The competition is like a "stepping stone"

In April this year, the first "Cultural and Creative Shanghai" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference was held at the Shanghai World Expo Museum, and as the founder and CEO of Huying Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huying Technology), Yu Peng shared his barrage experience at the meeting, "When the barrage first appeared, it may be difficult for everyone to accept it, and they will think that if the barrage appears on the screen and blocks the actor's face, how do you look at this video?" But when we slowly form a Xi, we will find that the barrage has become part of the content, and even the same movie, everyone is more willing to go to the platform with the barrage to watch. ”

This is the first "Cultural and Creative Shanghai" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held by Shanghai, which is jointly guided by the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission.

This is the beginning of the emergence of Huying Technology in Shanghai.

In an interview, he said that through this competition, the relevant government departments "discovered" Huying Technology, gave a lot of policy support to enterprises, and helped enterprises land in Shanghai.

"The competition is like a 'stepping stone', as a Beijing-based company, we go to negotiate with the relevant departments in Shanghai and establish cooperation with well-known enterprises in Shanghai, all of which start with this award."

As he spoke, he flipped through the PPT displayed by Mutual Imaging Technology, which set up a page specifically for this competition.

- Shanghai is a place where "tai chi" is not practiced

"Shanghai is quite pragmatic, whether it is the government or enterprises, whether it can do or can't do something, it will give feedback very directly, and will not play 'Tai Chi'." Yan Peng said.

In front of the vitality of Shanghai, a new world of entrepreneurship is waiting for young entrepreneurs like Tuan Peng to open up and cultivate.

At present, InterImaging Technology has two major business directions, one is interactive film and television that has been done since the beginning of the business, and the other is interactive digital content. He informed that the company plans to put the latter in Shanghai.

In just a few months, from the registration of the Shanghai branch to the selection of the office building, the progress of Huying Technology in Shanghai is like "rocket speed".

Yan Peng said that Shanghai's style is to do things in a down-to-earth manner, which is very "traceable", so that enterprises feel predictable, "It is very important to expect this, and what enterprises are most afraid of is instability and unpredictability, especially start-ups, which are most afraid of tossing." ”

He talked about his own experience, for example, when Huying Technology participated in innovation and entrepreneurship activities in Shanghai, the relevant government departments would inform the enterprises of the feedback from experts and guide the enterprises on how to adjust, "We have not applied, and we are inexperienced to a certain extent, so they will guide and help us from the perspective of enterprises." ”

- The tuyere is not waiting for it

Interactive film and television are now ushering in a wave of popularity, but in fact, it has been five years since Mutual Imaging Technology "waited" for this outlet.

In 2017, after graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a master's degree, he co-founded Huying Technology with several collaborators.

In the view of this group of entrepreneurs, the market of young users is different, and interaction is the general trend, because the new generation has grown up with smartphone terminals since childhood, and they like to interact.

"At that time, I felt that the next generation should be an interactive generation." Yan Peng said.

At the beginning of his business, there were two major objections: first, it was good to watch movies, why do you need to interact? Second, is there one abroad? No, why does China want to do or even do it?

The team insisted on spending four years to make the editor and engine of interactive film and television, and also launched popular IPs such as "Flying Over Room 13". "We waited for five years, and in these five years, we have accumulated a technology platform from 0 to 1, team integration experience, and so on." He said.

In addition to judging the user market, another reason for the team to stick with it was the arrival of technology. Especially with the advent of 5G and AIGC, "personalized content generation" is gradually becoming possible.

"From the PC era to the mobile Internet era, the biggest technological innovation is personalized recommendations. This essentially changes the personalization of content distribution, but it doesn't change the content itself. And the most important capability of AI is the ability to generate, so we feel that the next generation of content is personalized generation. In an interview, Yan Peng analyzed.

He believes that with the development of artificial intelligence, the next generation of technology is not just "recommend what I like to me", but whether it can directly generate "what I need", "the content of the next generation must be something that users can interact with, can participate in, and can influence in real time." ”

Regarding technological innovation, he gave such an example: when the iPhone was first introduced, everyone was wondering what the future games of the iPhone would be, and many people wondered if it was the Snake game in Nokia made in color. Apparently not.

The three most popular games in the Apple App Store were: Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and Temple Run, Peng said. The common denominator of these games is that they don't use buttons, they use swipe, and swiping games don't exist at Nokia.

"So the native iPhone game must be based on new hardware and bring new ways to interact. The same is true in the AI era, which must be based on AI's native capabilities and make new content applications, which is called the next generation of digital content. He said.

In the view of this "post-90s" entrepreneur, personalized content recommendation has been successful, and the personalization of content and its exploration are endless. (ENDS)
