It is understood that the opening of the "Yangtze River Express" is an important starting point for Sichuan Province to implement the national strategy of "accelerating the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation corridor and improving the level of regional transportation integration in the Yangtze River Economic Belt", and is an important measure to optimize the business environment of Sichuan Province. The train was promoted by Shudao Group as the main operating body of Sichuan Province.

The first train of the day carried titanium dioxide, yuan ming powder, glass fiber and other materials, will arrive in Jingzhou, Hubei Province by railway, and then distributed to Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places by Yangtze River water transportation, and the transportation time will be shortened from the original 15-20 days to about 10 days.

According to the data, the Yangtze River Three Gorges Hub has experienced rapid growth in the 20 years since it was put into operation, and the volume of the Three Gorges Hub has reached the design limit of 2022 million tons in 1, and in the first three quarters of 6, it will hit a record high of 2023 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.27%, and the waiting time has increased from 10 hours in 02 to 2011 hours in 17. With the completion of the expansion and transformation of the Guangzhou-Badawan Railway in the future, the volume of rail-water combined cargo transportation in Northwest China will increase significantly, which will further increase the pressure on the Three Gorges Hub.

Yang Rugang, deputy general manager of Shudao Group, said that the "Yangtze River Express" of iron-water intermodal transport not only effectively reduces the load of the Three Gorges Hub, solves the bottleneck problem of upstream and downstream cargo channel exchanges, but also greatly improves the transportation timeliness and better guarantees the normal supply of energy and industrial raw materials required by regional industries. By building a new logistics channel along the Yangtze River, it can further accurately meet market demand, optimize the business environment of Sichuan Province, and inject strong momentum into Sichuan's opening up, economic development and industrial agglomeration.

It is understood that in the future, the "Yangtze River Express" will follow the work idea of "based on Sichuan and radiating to the west", and realize the normalized two-way operation through pilot guidance, gradual expansion and orderly expansion. It is estimated that by 2030, the diversion of more than 1500 million tons of shipping volume to the Three Gorges hub will be completed, accounting for about 30% of the total volume of the Three Gorges diversion transportation in the future, effectively relieving the constraints caused by water transportation in Sichuan, Chongqing and the western region.
