Yesterday, with the completion of the last section of the beam landscape painting, the main construction of the Jingxiong Bridge of the Jingxiong Expressway control project was completed, marking the final sprint stage of the construction of the Jingxiong Expressway (Beijing Section) operated and managed by China Railway Investment Group and China Railway Investment Group. A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned that the Jingxiong Expressway will be opened to traffic by the end of the year.

The Jingxiong Bridge is a long-span Feiyan arch bridge, with a total length of 1.62 kilometers, a main arch span of 300 meters, and a steel consumption of about 2,2 tons for the main arch and main beam of the bridge, which is more than the steel consumption of three Eiffel Towers. Today, the Jingxiong Bridge, which is matte white, has crossed the Yongding River and is "dressed up". Citizens take the Fangshan Metro Line (bound for the east of Yancun), in the section between Dabaotai and Daotian Station of the subway, and overlook the Jingxiong Bridge to the south. The bridge is almost parallel to the Fangshan subway line, and the whole picture can be seen through the large window of the subway.

Before the opening of the expressway, a reporter from Beiqing Daily visited and found that about 1.5 kilometers east of the Fangshan North Main Line Toll Station of the Jingxiong Expressway can reach the Jingxiong Bridge. Currently, workers are installing expansion joints between the beams. According to Wang Yingbin, chief engineer of the Jingxiong Bridge project of China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau Construction Company, the bridge deck has been selected with matte white paint with self-cleaning function, and the painting has been completed. Next, the bridge will also be subject to load tests and traffic signs to make final preparations for its opening.

The Jingxiong Bridge spans the Yongding River, the "mother river" of Beijing, and as a landscape landmark bridge, in the design stage, the shape of the bridge fully considers the needs of the Yongding River ecological development belt, and adopts a special-shaped curved arch bridge structure with cross-section torsion, reducing the number of beams between the upstream and downstream arch ribs, and forming a light modern shape of the bridge. The completion of the Jingxiong Bridge also marks the birth of a new landmark of the largest single-span bridge in Beijing.

During the construction process, the steel structure project department of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Construction Company, the construction unit, overcame the difficulties of high technical difficulty, tight construction period and difficult organization of the project. The project team adopted digital twin technology to realize the whole life cycle management of the bridge, and used digital technology combined with the application of the Internet of Things for bridge automatic monitoring sensors to provide a digital solution for the operation and maintenance of the bridge after its opening. Through scientific and technological research, more than 10 innovative achievements, 3 provincial and ministerial construction methods, and 52 patents have been declared.

With the gradual completion of the construction of the Jingxiong Bridge and the wetland park under the bridge, with the Jingxiong Bridge as the core landscape, a harmonious landscape of "distant mountains and near water flying rainbows" will be formed under the background of the Yongding River in Xishan. At that time, the park under the bridge will also become a good place for the surrounding citizens to relax.

After the completion of the Beijing-Xiong'an Expressway (Beijing Section), it is of great significance to improve the external backbone road network of Xiong'an New Area, build a one-hour traffic circle in Beijing-Xiong'an, and promote the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration process.
