RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to Eurostat data.

As noted in the material, the European Union has increased purchases of grain from Russia 10 times over the year - up to 180 thousand tons.

It is specified that this was the maximum volume of purchases since March last year and allowed Russia to become the fourth largest exporter of grain to the association.

At the same time, Ukraine has become the main import destination for the EU. Deliveries from there increased by 1% over the month, and decreased by a quarter over the year.

Next, the top three in grain supplies to the EU included Brazil, Turkey and Canada.
