Among them, Rapidus, which aims to mass-produce advanced semiconductors in Japan, revealed plans to establish a sales office in Silicon Valley.

Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura, who is visiting San Francisco in the United States, exchanged views with top executives of major U.S. semiconductor companies such as Western Digital and Nvidia, as well as Rapidus President Atsuyoshi Koike, who accompanied him from Japan.

The meeting was held behind closed doors, and Nvidia CEO Juan, which is involved in high-performance semiconductors for AI, said, "In Japan, we will secure supply capacity in light of the growing demand for advanced computing power in fields such as AI."

In addition, Rapidus President Koike revealed plans to open a new sales office in Silicon Valley on the west coast of the United States and collaborate with a wide range of local businesses.
