The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has announced a "new law" so that "Madrid directly collects the Tax on Large Fortunes" and the collection, therefore, does not go to the coffers of the State as a whole.

"We are going to do it as soon as possible so that this collection remains in the hands of the Madrid taxpayer and, in this way, we can return it to them," said the president, who in this way defies the Government after the Constitutional Court has endorsed the tax on the rich on Tuesday.

"

We are not going to stand still and what we are going to do is urgently process a legislative reform, a new law that we will urgently take to the Assembly of Madrid, a bill that allows us to collect all that tax and that it remains in the coffers of Madrid," said Ayuso, who today participated in the 30th Meeting of the Financial Sector. organized by Deloitte and ABC.

"And so we can allocate it to what citizens freely voted for at the polls in the last elections and that was low taxation and freedom also when it comes to paying with their taxes, so that we can create more prosperity and jobs. We are going to do it as soon as possible so that this collection remains in the hands of the Madrid taxpayer and, in this way, we can return it to them," he insisted.
