Fan Jinshi, winner of the national honorary title of "Outstanding Contributor to Cultural Relics Protection" and honorary president of the Dunhuang Academy, served as the ambassador of the first large-scale cruise ship in China, named the "Aida Modu" and launched the champagne bottle throwing ceremony. So far, the first large-scale cruise ship "Aida Modu" in China has taken eight years of scientific research and five years of design and construction, and has successfully completed its naming and delivery.
China has become the only country in the world that is currently building aircraft carriers, large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers and large cruise ships at the same time, which is a symbolic step for China to move from a shipbuilding country to a shipbuilding power.
On November 2018, 11, at the first China International Import Expo, the cooperative design and construction contract of 6,13 gross tons of Vista-class large cruise ships was officially signed, and the project was officially launched.

It is reported that the first domestic large-scale cruise ship has a total tonnage of 13,55 tons, a length of 323.6 meters, a width of 37.2 meters, a design draft of 8.26 meters, and a maximum height of 72.2 meters. The ship is equipped with 107 systems, 2500,4750 equipment, including 365 million parts, and has completed the laying of 120,2125 kilometers of cables, 5246 kilometers of pipes, and 16 kilometers of air ducts. There are 4,<> guest rooms on board, which can accommodate <>,<> passengers, and are equipped with <> floors and an area of <>,<> square meters of living and entertainment public areas, known as the "modern city on the sea".
The "Aida Magic City" is designed to integrate Eastern and Western aesthetics, traditional and modern inspiration from the outside to the inside, interpret the fashion trend of "modern" in the cruise capital, show the innovative charm of classic cultural "magic", and bring the cross-border integration of "magic" of Eastern and Western cultural and tourism elements.
After it is officially put into operation on New Year's Day 2024, the "Aida Modu" will sail on an international cruise route with Shanghai as its home port, and launch a cruise route on the Maritime Silk Road in due course, so that the wisdom and strength of the ancient Silk Road will continue to sail on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
