According to Meilan Airport, on June 6 this year, the peak hour capacity standard of Meilan Airport was increased from 25 to 30 flights. From October 40, Meilan Airport ushered in the first winter and spring aviation season after breaking through the bottleneck of time resources, with more than 10,29 flights, 9 flight points, and 83 routes, an increase of 124 planned routes compared with last year's winter and spring season, 187 new destinations in domestic cities such as Anshan and Beihai compared with the same period last year, and 26 new destinations in international and regional cities such as Singapore, Jakarta and Seoul. According to statistics, up to now, Meilan Airport has opened 14 domestic routes and 15 domestic destinations.

In terms of overseas routes, since the beginning of this year, Meilan Airport has actively cooperated with major domestic and foreign airlines to accelerate the recovery of the overseas aviation market by participating in the World Route Development Conference and signing memorandums of cooperation. Up to now, Meilan Airport has opened a total of 26 overseas passenger and cargo routes from Haikou to Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, London, Melbourne, etc., and at the same time, Meilan Airport has opened 4 connecting routes with Hainan Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines, respectively, Haikou = Guangzhou = Seoul, Haikou = Changsha = London, Taiyuan = Haikou = Sydney, Chongqing = Haikou = Kuala Lumpur, opening up the passage from domestic cities to overseas cities via Haikou, and Haikou from domestic cities to overseas cities.
