Urumqi, October 10 (Tao Lianke, Wang Chengkai) On the 31st, the reporter learned from the Tarim Oilfield Branch of PetroChina Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Tarim Oilfield) that as of 31 o'clock on the 30th, the Tarim Oilfield has transported more than 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas through the West-East Gas Pipeline Network, benefiting more than 3400 million residents in 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities such as Beijing and Shanghai, and more than 120 large and medium-sized cities, and continuously injecting "warm current" into downstream economic and social development and people's livelihood gas security.

In September 1998, the Kra 9 well in the Tarim Oilfield was tested to obtain a high-yield natural gas flow, becoming the largest high-quality gas field in China at that time. On October 2, 2004, the West-East Gas Transmission Project was completed and put into operation, and the energy artery running through the east and west of the country was born, promoting China to enter the "natural gas era" in an all-round way.

In the 19 years since the West-East Gas Transmission Project was put into operation, Tarim Oilfield has always taken ensuring national energy security and stable gas supply as its top priority, planned and promoted natural gas as a growth and strategic project, challenged world-class exploration and development problems such as ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure and high sulfur content, and made every effort to improve its natural gas supply capacity.

In recent years, the Tarim Oilfield has implemented two trillion cubic meters of atmospheric areas, Kra-Keshen and Bozi-Dabei, and successfully developed a number of large and medium-sized gas fields, such as Keshen 9 gas field and Keshen 13 gas field, which are the deepest onshore gas fields in China, becoming one of the three major gas areas in China. In 2022, the oil and gas equivalent production of the Tarim Oilfield reached 3310.323 million tons, of which <>.<> billion cubic meters of natural gas production, providing a reliable incremental resource for winter supply.

It is estimated that the 3400 billion cubic meters of natural gas produced and transported by the Tarim Oilfield is equivalent to replacing 4 million tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 5 million tons, benefiting more than 4 million residents in 4 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities such as Beijing and Shanghai, and more than 15 large and medium-sized cities, promoting the optimization and adjustment of energy and industrial structure in eastern China and the Yangtze River Delta region, and creating huge social, economic and ecological environmental protection benefits.

In the face of the "big test" of winter supply this winter and next spring, the Tarim Oilfield has fully prepared for the supply of natural gas in winter, and a number of key projects for capacity construction have been built in the Taklamakan Desert. In the middle of this month, the Bozi natural gas processing plant in the Tarim Oilfield was completed and put into operation, further promoting the annual natural gas processing capacity of China's largest ultra-deep condensate gas field, the Bozi-Dabei gas field, to exceed 11 billion cubic meters. Fuman Oilfield Fuyuan Joint Station has entered the final stage of production, and it is expected that after the completion in early November, the daily processing scale of natural gas will increase by 200 million cubic meters, opening up a broader "energy channel" for natural gas resources to be transported to thousands of households.
