Beijing, April 4 (Reporter Zhao Ming) On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, the first of the series of activities of "International Intellectual Property Standards - Park Tour" with the theme of "implementing standards to empower innovation and create value from intellectual property" was held in Chaoyang District, Beijing.
The Innovation Management - Intellectual Property Management Guide (ISO56005) (hereinafter referred to as ISO56005 international standard) is the first international standard for intellectual property management proposed and promoted by China, and is an important part of the international standard system for innovation management, which was officially released by the International Organization for Standardization in November 2020.
The ISO56005 international standard takes the realization of innovation value as the core orientation, and helps enterprises improve innovation efficiency, innovation quality and innovation benefits by clarifying the objectives, methods and paths of intellectual property management in the innovation process.
Zhang Fan, an expert in the development of ISO56005 international standards, said at the event that business leaders should focus on the future, create long-term value for the organization by stimulating and mobilizing the enthusiasm of employees and other relevant parties, and creating, protecting and using intellectual property rights. She pointed out that enterprises should pay attention to strategy, and only by establishing an intellectual property strategy that matches the business strategy and innovation strategy to form a competitive advantage can they help enterprises continuously improve their innovation capabilities and management efficiency, and ultimately realize the value of innovation.
Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office issued a notice on the Annual Work Guidelines for Promoting the High-quality Development of Intellectual Property Rights (2023), deploying the pilot work of the implementation of the international standard "Guidelines for the Management of Intellectual Property Rights for Innovation Management". This indicates that ISO56005 is accelerating the pilot implementation in China, and related activities will be launched one after another.
It is understood that the series of activities of "International Intellectual Property Standards - Park Tour" lasts for 5 months, starting from Chaoyang District, and will radiate to science and technology industrial parks in Beijing and even the whole country in the future. At the same time, a series of activities will link up well-known scholars, experts and enterprises in the field of intellectual property protection and operation at home and abroad, build a platform, jointly tell the story of "implementing standards to help enterprises innovate and improve intellectual property management capabilities", and help enterprises innovate and develop high-quality intellectual property with standardized means.
