He also warned that Germany could face gas shortages next winter.
Muller stressed that the reduction in wholesale electricity prices can occur only in six months or a year.
As previously noted by the European Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni, Germany is among the EU countries most severely affected by the crisis.
