This was reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing sources in the security services.

As RIA Novosti clarifies with reference to the article, in June-July last year, the CIA sent a warning to the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany, as well as other European intelligence services, that attacks were being prepared on pipelines.

According to the newspaper, in this warning, American intelligence agencies provided information about three citizens of Ukraine who attempted to rent ships in states that border the Baltic Sea.

On March 7, The New York Times published an article stating that “new intelligence” indicates the involvement of a certain “pro-Ukrainian group” in undermining the Nord Stream in the Baltic Sea.

Senator Alexei Pushkov said that The New York Times article about sabotage at Nord Stream was an unsuccessful attempt at disinformation.
