A vote will also be held at the plenary session of the House of Councilors on the 10th, and it is expected to obtain the consent of the Diet.

The government plans to appoint Kazuo Ueda, an economist who is a former deliberative committee member of the Bank of Japan, to succeed Kuroda as Governor of the Bank of Japan. was presented to the Diet on the 14th of last month.



The personnel proposal was voted on at the plenary session of the House of Representatives on the 9th, and the appointment of Mr. Ueda and Mr. Himino was agreed with a majority of all parties except the Communist Party.



The appointment of Mr. Uchida was approved by a majority of the Liberal Democratic Party, the New Komeito Party, and the Japan Restoration Party.

The Constitutional Democratic Party and the Communist Party opposed.



At the plenary session on the 9th, a vote was also taken on personnel proposals for 28 people from 11 organizations that require the consent of the Diet, and all of them were approved.
