Indra

's board of directors

has unanimously approved, in agreement with the current CEO,

Ignacio Mataix

, to start a succession process linked to the definition of the next strategic plan that the company plans to define for the coming years , the company has informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Mataix will continue to perform his current functions to facilitate the succession process

and continuity in management, until the appointment of the new CEO, for whose selection an independent consultant will be available.

Subsequently, Mataix will continue to provide his services to the company as a

strategic advisor to the board of directors for a period of two years.

The board of directors of the company chaired by

Marc Murtra

has unanimously assessed "very positively" and has placed on record its thanks and congratulations to Ignacio Mataix "for his excellent contribution to the Transport and Defense business and for his great performance as CEO at the head of the company, and in a very special way the results obtained in the year 2022", according to the communication sent by Ana María Sala, secretary of the council.

A little less than a year ago, Cristina Ruiz submitted her resignation as CEO of Indra TI to the company's board of directors, leaving Mataix as the firm's sole CEO.

With the departure of Cristina Ruiz from Indra, the governance model designed after the departure of the previous president, Fernando Abril-Martorell

, in May 2021, was partly dismantled,

with two solidarity CEOs at the helm of the businesses: Cristina Ruiz in the TI and Ignacio Mataix in Transport and Defense (T&D), the most profitable division of the group.
