Fuel prices at German petrol stations continue to rise.

Both diesel and premium E10 petrol became significantly more expensive within a week.

This was announced by the automobile club ADAC on Wednesday.

This means that the upward trend that has been going on since around mid-December is picking up speed again: In the last six weekly comparisons, prices have risen five times and fallen only once.

On a nationwide daily average on Tuesday, Super E10 cost 1.779 euros per liter.

That was 4.2 cents more than a week ago.

Diesel increased in price by an average of 2.9 cents to 1.858 euros per liter.

The traffic club considers both fuels to be too expensive.

Just a month ago, these were significantly lower with similar oil prices.
