If things get difficult with Markus Schön's activities, he can still give workshops in which he explains how to get a lot of attention with little resources.

Since the insolvency proceedings of the ailing department store group Galeria, the managing director of the office mail order company Buero.de has regularly expressed his interest in taking over 47 branches.

Now, just before Christmas, he's backing down.

And justifies this by saying that there is a list of up to 90 potential closure locations and that is why many employees are certainly looking for new jobs.

What a mockery!

Anyone who has dealt with Markus Schön's ventures more intensively will inevitably come up against many questions - such as how he wanted to finance the takeover, how he wanted to keep his full-bodied promise to take over all employees on the basis of the collective agreement and how someone who works in the Having worked in the financial sector and as an asset manager in the past, he suddenly wants to be a department store manager.

Schön never gave an answer to this, instead always making many promises from the sidelines.

He even designed a name for the future department stores, including the “Schön hier” logo.

Mind you, before there were any real discussions.

This is a slap in the face for the employees who may have believed him.

Strictly speaking, nothing will change for the department store group: There are other interested parties who are being negotiated with about individual locations, but they are staying in the background.

Schön, on the other hand, wants to concentrate on his office supplies, most recently he has taken over three stationery shops near Frankfurt.

His goal: 200 locations and 250 million euros in sales by 2025. It would be nice!
