Yahoo!, LINE, and PayPay have announced that they will partner with beverage and daily necessities manufacturers and start new services from March next year.

It is a mechanism that can be exchanged for points that can be used for shopping when purchasing specific products of partner companies, and the aim is to expand the company's services amid intensifying competition in the creation of a "point economy zone".

The new service will integrate data such as purchase history in collaboration with manufacturers and retailers of beverages and daily necessities.



When users use PayPay to purchase specific products from affiliated companies at stores, Yahoo!



Users will receive mileage that can be exchanged for points each time they use the service, and partner companies can also obtain data such as purchase history of their products, which can be used for sales strategies.



The service is scheduled to start in March next year, and initially retailers such as beverage manufacturers and drug stores will participate.



Takao Ozawa, president of Yahoo! JAPAN, said, "We aim to be the most user-friendly, convenient, and profitable service for users. We want to increase the frequency of use by users."



In terms of point services, competition between companies to acquire users is intensifying, with Culture Convenience Club's "T Point" and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group's "V Point" proceeding with integration discussions.
