According to TASS, Szijjarto noted that the Hungarian government does not rule out that it will have to make changes to long-term contracts for the purchase of Russian gas due to the possible introduction of a price ceiling for this type of fuel in the European Union.

According to the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Novak confirmed that “if, due to the gas price ceiling, it becomes necessary to change long-term Hungarian-Russian contracts for the purchase of gas, then this will be possible.”

Szijjártó said earlier that EU energy ministers had not agreed in Brussels on a gas price cap.
