According to videos shared on social networks, demonstrations took place in several districts of Tehran, but also within the walls of universities, with slogans "death to the dictator" or even slogans against the religious or the bassidjis, the famous Islamist militiamen.

Merchants from the Grand Bazaar in Tehran also went on strike, as did some stores across the capital, but also in the provinces.

But state media claimed traders in Tehran's Grand Bazaar closed shops for fear of thugs and under threat from protesters.

In several districts of the capital, the demonstrators blocked traffic by setting fire to garbage cans or with barriers.

Videos of bazaars in provincial towns were also released by state media, showing normal activity.

But on social networks, we can even see many stores closed in the provinces.

A veritable war of images between supporters and opponents of the regime.

These demonstrations are expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday, when Internet bandwidth has been largely reduced by the government, as every time there are demonstrations.
