Three major paper manufacturers have announced one after another that they will raise the prices of household paper products from January to February next year.

The prices will be raised for tissue paper, toilet paper, kitchen paper, etc. This is the second time we have announced a price increase.

▽ Daio Paper and ▽ Oji Nepia will raise prices by more than 20% from shipments on January 21, next year.

▽ Nippon Paper Crecia will raise the price by more than 15% from shipments on February 1 next year.

The companies explained that the main reasons for the price hikes were soaring prices of pulp and fuel, which is the raw material for paper, and rising logistics costs, and that the weaker yen has further increased costs.

As the prices of food and beverages continue to rise, prices of essential items such as toilet paper continue to rise, further increasing the burden on household budgets.
