Yesterday, during the activities of the first edition of the "Communication and Partnership" forum, the Chambers revealed the launch of an initiative to empower business groups, re-formulation of the crystallization of the role entrusted to business groups in a thoughtful manner, and the implementation of a plan to expand the number of sectors represented by business groups to 100 sectors covering secondary sectors within the fields industries and various major economic sectors.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, said: “Dubai Chambers are keen to extend bridges of cooperation with various business sectors and stakeholders in the emirate, as well as to strengthen the existing strategic partnership between the public and private sectors with the aim of advancing sustainable development in Dubai towards new horizons of excellence and success. ».

He explained that the total number of Dubai Chambers members reached more than 324,000 until the beginning of October 2022, with an annual growth rate of 15%.

Al Ghurair pointed out that the new sector, which was established to support the interests of the business community, has begun to exercise its functions, develop strategies and programs and launch initiatives that enhance the contribution of business groups affiliated with the Chamber to the economic growth process.

He revealed the launch of an initiative for empowering business groups, which deliberately reformulates and re-elaborates the role entrusted to business groups.

He also revealed a plan to expand the number of sectors represented by business groups to 100 sectors covering secondary sectors within the various main economic fields, industries and sectors, considering that this step will have positive repercussions on the representation and enhancement of the competitiveness of all economic sectors in Dubai.

For his part, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Al Zeyoudi, delivered a video speech, in which he praised the important role and tireless efforts made by Dubai Chambers to protect the interests of the local business sector.
