In the Tokyo foreign exchange market on the 15th, the yen exchange rate fell slightly.

The yen exchange rate at 5:00 pm was 143.56 yen to 143.58 yen to the dollar, 26 yen weaker than the previous day.

Against the euro, the exchange rate was 12 yen weaker than the previous day, at 1 euro = 143.23 yen to 27 yen.

1 euro = 0.9977 to 78 dollars against the dollar.

A market insider commented, "Since it was reported yesterday that the BOJ conducted a rate check, investors are deeply wary of market intervention, making it difficult to sell the yen and buy the dollar. However, with the inflation rate remaining high in the United States, there are many views that the interest rate differential between Japan and the United States will widen, and the yen continues to be easy to sell."
