The theme park "Huis Ten Bosch" in Nagasaki Prefecture will be sold to a Hong Kong investment company.

An official announcement is expected on the 30th.

Regarding "Huis Ten Bosch", more than 66% of the shares of the operating company are held by "H.I.S.", a major travel agency, and the remaining shares are held by five companies in Kyushu such as Kyushu Electric Power and Seibu Gas. .

According to people involved, each company has decided to sell their shares to Hong Kong-based investment company "PAG" for about 100 billion yen, and will officially announce on the 30th.

Even after the sale, Huis Ten Bosch is expected to continue operating.

Huis Ten Bosch received support from an investment company after applying for the Corporate Rehabilitation Act in 2003, and since 2010 it has been under the umbrella of HIS and has been working on management reconstruction.

The number of visitors fell sharply at one point due to the corona crisis, but recently it has been on a recovery trend.

On the other hand, "H.I.S." continues to perform poorly due to the decline in its main overseas travel business due to the impact of the new corona, and it seems that there is an aim to improve the financial situation by selling "Huis Ten Bosch".
