Two officials in outlets said that the reduced offers, which last for several weeks, are due to the diversification of imports and the resort to alternative markets, as well as the abundance of some crops in a number of countries of origin, as a result of the climate improvement after waves of bad weather, which affected the crops, noting that The domestic production competing with the importer, and the outlets' policies to reduce prices to attract consumers, in light of the summer holidays, played a role in the reductions.

A tour of "Emirates Today", in outlets, showed the existence of various discounted prices, which included many types of imported and local vegetables and fruits, especially the main types that are popular with consumers.

Discount Offers

In turn, the sales official at the outlet, Rajiv Tamara, said that "the discounted offers that last for several weeks are due to the outlets diversifying imports and resorting to alternative markets, as well as the abundance of some crops in a number of countries of origin, as a result of the improved climate, after Waves of bad weather negatively affected crops.

The official in one of the outlets, Muhammad Al-Assaad, agreed with Tamara, adding that “there are additional factors behind the discounted offers, on top of which is the presence of local agricultural production, which played a role in maximizing competition for the benefit of the consumer, as well as the strategy of some outlets to reduce prices to attract buyers, in Summer vacations, rapid crop failure and a large number of families traveling abroad for the first time in two years.”
