RCS MediaGroup and Editorial Unit achieve an increase in revenue and ebitda

RCS MediaGroup, the Italian parent company of Editorial Unit, has recorded revenues of 445.7 million euros during the first half of the year,

compared to the same period of 2021, mainly thanks to the good performance of the advertising and to the heading of other income.

Despite the uncertainty caused by the conflict in Ukraine,

before non-recurring expenses, which represents an increase of 3.4 million compared to the first half of the previous year.

The figures highlight a positive net result of 24.2 million euros and a positive net financial position of 15.5 million.

In this context, the notable contribution of the

to the Group's economic results stands out, with revenues of 107.9 million euros -4.9% more than the previous year- and an EBITDA of 15.5 million before non-recurring expenses, a figure that reflects an increase of 43.5%.

The publishing company of

, among other titles, achieved a positive net result and

(4.8%) and of other income (7.1%).

Likewise, it registers an increase in the number of digital subscribers to 139,000, of which

and 46,000 to EXPANSIÓN.

Among the novelties of its informative offer, EL MUNDO launched the cultural magazine

in January and, in March, celebrated the return of

to points of sale and newsstands.

For its part, EXPANSIÓN launched in June EXPANSIÓN Fiscal, the new supplement focused on tax information.

During the last months, both newspapers have produced information and specialized newsletters on the war in Europe.

In addition, Unidad Editorial has consolidated the

, among which the EXPANSIÓN International Economic Forum, MARCA Sport Weekend and the TELVA Energy & Happiness Congress have stood out.
