While the “camper” sector is currently booming, it is good to remember that the concept is already over 70 years old.

The very symbol of a utility vehicle adapted to be able to stay there with a certain comfort, the first Volkswagen Camper was developed in 1951 by Westfalia.

This first Camper was equipped with a double cabin, a sofa bed, a folding table, a bench, a cupboard on wheels and a sideboard with a compartment for a stove.

The interior design also includes decorative items, including curtains matching the interior designs (more images in our gallery).

More than seven decades later, the Volkswagen Transporter California version has evolved with the times, but it has in no way tarnished the very spirit of its illustrious ancestor.

Quite the contrary!

Practical and user-friendly, the modern California has evolved a lot over time.

But faced with the choice of model, it can however be difficult to know which declination to go for.

Hence the birth of 36 specialized centers throughout France.

Going to one of these centers therefore allows you to discover the range of Volkswagen campers, and this in a very detailed way: from the pans adapted to the custom-made protective covers, through the bike racks.

On the technical level too, the personnel of these specialized dealerships are trained to be able to respond quickly to questions, and possibly make a technical adjustment.

Finally, it should be noted that the centers also offer rental vehicles.
