“Oil imports from Russia to China in May rose 55% year-on-year and hit a record high, displacing Saudi Arabia as the top supplier,” the agency writes.

According to him, imports of Russian oil, including deliveries via the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline, as well as sea transportation from European and Far Eastern ports of Russia, amounted to almost 8.42 million tons in May.

Earlier, Reuters also reported that India's purchases of coal from Russia from May 27 to June 15 increased by about six times, and oil by 31 times compared to the same period last year.

Igor Yushkov, an expert at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, a leading analyst at the National Energy Security Fund, expressed the opinion in an interview with RT that Russian oil exports will increase, since there is demand for raw materials both in Asia and in Europe.
