A new company that provides systems for companies, which was established in April with the conversion of a major electric machine maker Panasonic into a holding company, will develop markets in the supply chain field such as logistics together with the American software company acquired last year. I showed a policy to accelerate.

From the 1st of this month, Panasonic will own "Panasonic Holdings" as a holding company, and eight companies such as home appliances and batteries will be included under its umbrella.

Of these, Yasuyuki Higuchi, president of Panasonic Connect, which provides systems for companies newly established as a holding company, held a press conference in Tokyo on the 4th.

This company owns the American software company "Blue Yonder", which Panasonic acquired for about 770 billion yen last year, and utilizes Panasonic's face recognition and sensor technologies to supply chains such as factories and logistics. We will provide systems for efficiency improvement in the field.

At the press conference, President Higuchi announced a goal of increasing sales in 2024 to 1,170 billion yen, 1.4 times that of 2020, and stated that "we would like to expand our business by combining our technology with Bruyonder's cloud." I did.

Panasonic wants to accelerate market development in the field of supply chains and grow it into a pillar of profits, and it is being questioned whether it can lead to the growth of the group through huge acquisitions.
