“All Visa and Mastercard international payment systems cards issued by Russian banks will continue to operate in Russia as usual until their expiration date,” the regulator said in a statement.
It is noted that customer funds on the accounts are saved and available.
It is clarified that cross-border transactions with Visa and Mastercard cards will not be available.
Earlier, Sberbank announced that the decision of Visa and Mastercard to limit work in Russia would not affect the work of the bank's cards in the country.
