Now co-managed by Mercedes and Geely, Smart is at a turning point in its existence.
Its production has just been transferred to China and the brand is preparing to present a new model, which will break with the small city cars we know.
Quite simply called Smart #1, this small electric and urban SUV has been the subject of significant research aimed at optimizing its aerodynamics, as evidenced by the retractable door handles and the air intake with adjustable flaps.
On the first photos published by Smart, we can see the #1 still camouflaged but with an aesthetic close to the concept car presented last year.
For the moment, the car is undergoing tests in the Far North to check the resistance of its battery to the cold.
It will be unveiled later this year.
